The Community & Program Support Specialist will provide support to MassEnergize community leaders and community clients around the state as well as support MassEnergize clean energy campaign initiatives. This customer relations and program support role supports our clients and provides resources so they can inspire community level climate action more effectively.
The Community & Program Support Specialist (CPSS) will provide support to all of MassEnergize’s community clients, while also supporting our community engagement programs, conducting outreach to acquire new community clients, and supporting the improvement of our engagement software. In this position, the CPSS will:
● Actively engage clients to ensure customer satisfaction and determine additional areas for support.
● Create/curate content for actions and outreach (including newsletters and social media) that can be shared among all communities
● Provide support to MassEnergize community clients, including training in the use of our software and outreach tools, responding to requests for support, and tracking community metrics in order to increase clients’ success.
● Work both independently and together with the Program Coordinator to support MassEnergize community engagement campaigns, providing support for marketing, campaign websites, program evaluation, and other related program activities.
● Provide outreach support for engaging new community clients by both responding to inquiries and helping to promote our products and services.
● Support other areas of MassEnergize’s work as assigned.
This position works under the direction of and will receive support and management from the MassEnergize Executive Director
Minimum Qualifications
● Friendly, personable, outgoing, open to working with a variety of people and personalities
● Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in cross-cultural environments
● Self directed and creative problem solver, organized, with ability to initiate tasks and keep projects on schedule
● Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills
● Proficiency in standard office software - Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office
● Willingness to learn and/or become familiar with basic software development processes
● Ability to travel locally to visit participating communities and support local campaigns
● Flexible schedule - ability to attend evening and weekend events when necessary
Desirable Qualifications
● Passion for community engagement, climate, and clean energy issues
● Familiarity with customer relations management (CRM) software e.g. Salesforce, HUB Spot, Neon
● Experience with social media campaigns and outreach
● Experience in the climate or clean energy sector
● Proficiency in Spanish and/or languages spoken by our community clients
