Program Administrator - Solar Equity

MassCEC seeks a motivated and organized candidate to join MassCEC as a Program Administrator. Successful candidates will bring relevant programmatic experience and/or interest paired with a strong commitment to helping Massachusetts achieve its 2050 net zero emissions goals in a way that focuses on equitable solutions to support environmental justice neighborhoods, and other underserved and underrepresented populations.  

The Program Administrator will play a key role in supporting MassCEC’s solar and building decarbonization programming.  Specifically, this role will be part of MassCEC’s High-Performance Buildings team, which supports the Commonwealth’s ambitious goals of reducing and eliminating fossil fuel and emissions from buildings, including supporting the development of significant potential programming focused on equitable access to Solar and other clean energy solutions within underserved communities. Read more

Program Manager - Solar Equity

MassCEC seeks a motivated and experienced candidate to join the Building Decarbonization team as a Program Manager. The Program Manager will play a key role in designing and overseeing solar equity initiatives that are part of MassCEC’s efforts to unlock pathways for eliminating emissions from the Commonwealth’s buildings and meet emissions goals. This position will work to launch solar equity programs that will support the state in achieving its 2050 net zero emissions goals. MassCEC expects the responsibilities of this position to evolve and expand as MassCEC pursues future endeavors and programming.  

This work will involve engaging with industry stakeholders, conceptualizing and designing market transformation initiatives, and implementing programs that effectively address barriers to solar equity. The Program Manager will engage in this sector across many fronts, including with consumers and property owners, industry solution providers, workforce, solar and energy efficiency program administrators, and policy makers. The role will implement initiatives to increase awareness, foster new business approaches, enhance available workforce, and recommend realignment of institutional practices and policies. Furthermore, the Program Manager will serve as a resource for MassCEC and other state agencies on matters related to solar equity.  Read more

Program Manager - School Decarbonization

MassCEC seeks a motivated and experienced candidate to join MassCEC as a Program Manager. The Program Manager will play a key role in designing and overseeing initiatives that are part of MassCEC’s efforts to unlock pathways for eliminating emissions from the Commonwealth’s buildings. This position will work to launch efforts and demonstrations to bring to market the core systems, business practices, and programs to make achieving the state’s 2050 net zero emissions goals a reality in a way that focuses on equitable solutions to support electrification, decarbonization, and clean energy deployment in K-12 schools serving environmental justice, low-income, and other underserved and underrepresented populations. Read more

Vice President of Marketing and Communications

MassCEC is seeking a Vice President of Marketing and Communications who will play a key role in conveying to the public the scope of MassCEC’s work and Massachusetts’ leadership in the clean energy, decarbonization, climatetech, and workforce spaces. The Vice President of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and implementing a proactive marketing and communications strategy to increase public awareness of clean energy adoption opportunities, Massachusetts’ competitive advantages relative to other states and regions for starting and scaling clean energy and climatetech companies, the role MassCEC plays in accelerating growth in the clean energy and climatetech cluster, and other key marketing messages relative to MassCEC’s mission. Press Secretary

MassCEC is seeking an experienced media relations professional to join our growing, high-volume Communications team as Press Secretary. The Press Secretary will be a core member of MassCEC’s Communications team ensuring that MassCEC’s objectives and achievements are communicated effectively to the media and the public through incisive messaging.

Reporting to and partnering with the Senior Manager of Communications, the Press Secretary will coordinate with colleagues to implement MassCEC’s communications strategy through effective media relations. Content Creation Manager

MassCEC is seeking a Content Creation Manager to support the Marketing and Communications (MarCOMM) team, led by the VP of Marketing and Communications. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Content Creation Manager will manage the agency’s social media accounts and write articles, blogs, and social media posts. In addition, the Content Creation Manager will supervise the Marketing, PR, and Digital Media Fellow; film videos; design graphics; and staff events. The Content Creation Manager will work with the MarCOMM team to develop social media strategy and highlight MassCEC’s strategic priorities. Some travel may be required. Read more

Program Manager - Tech-to-Market

MassCEC seeks a motivated and organized candidate to join the Technology-to-Market team as a Program Manager. The Program Manager will play a key role in new program development, management of ongoing programs, supporting strategy, and oversight of administrative staff.

The Tech-to-Market team houses MassCEC’s grant work with cleantech innovators and the innovation economy in Massachusetts. The team works directly with startups and researchers to advance innovative cleantech technologies and solutions. The Tech-to-Market team is charged with understanding the market climate for clean energy industry sectors, recognizing and supporting emerging technologies and market opportunities, and identifying market trends and barriers. The team oversees a suite of grant programs to help researchers and emerging companies develop and commercialize their clean energy technologies and to help organizations that support early-stage companies (i.e., incubators and accelerators). Read more

Senior Program Manager - Student and Young Adult Career Pathways

MassCEC seeks a talented and experienced candidate to serve as a Senior Program Manager in MassCEC’s Workforce Development department. Successful candidates will bring extensive experience in education combined with a deep understanding of workforce and career development and a strong commitment to helping Massachusetts achieve its 2050 net zero emissions goals through equitable, high-quality programming. 

Reporting to the Program Director for Student and Young Adult Initiatives, the Senior Program Manager will support program development and expansion of key initiatives through research, design, and thorough stakeholder engagement with educational institutions and systems across K-12 and higher education. In partnership with other team members, consultants, and industry stakeholders, the Senior Program Manager will draft, refine, and provide oversight on policy recommendations, partnership campaign materials, curricular resources, programs, and web content to increase clean energy career awareness and access. Additionally, the Senior Program Manager will support Workforce award grantees by providing counseling and quality technical assistance, structuring and capturing effective outcomes reporting, supporting and adhering to grant and administrative processes, and contributing to broader strategic outreach and engagement. Read more

Managing Director of Accelerating Decarbonization

MassCEC seeks a talented and experienced leader to serve as the organization’s Managing Director of the Accelerating Decarbonization team. The Managing Director will oversee all aspects of MassCEC’s Accelerating Decarbonization programs, which are run by three teams: high performance buildingsclean transportation, and achieving a net zero grid. These teams work on innovative approaches to addressing decarbonization barriers that can then be used as learnings for bringing climatetech solutions to scale.  The Managing Director will be a member of the Leadership Team and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). 

The Accelerating Decarbonization programs identify market needs, gaps, and barriers, conduct research, provide thought leadership, and deploy programs or services to successfully and quantifiably facilitate early market development with the goal of achieving market adoption. The Managing Director will be responsible for overseeing the evaluation of program effectiveness in driving carbon emissions reduction and early market adoption, advising on program and operational efficiencies, and overseeing program area strategic planning and budgets. This individual will directly manage four senior director level direct reports who have a combined total of 30+ staff members reporting to them. The Managing Director will be accountable for optimizing team performance through skilled leadership, communication, and problem solving. They must also have strong interpersonal and management skills to provide mentoring, guidance, and professional development across the entire team in alignment with the organization's mission. Read more

Marketing and Communications Coordinator

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will play a key role in supporting MassCEC’s marketing and communications operations, with a focus on organizing sponsorship activities, managing internal and external documentation, coordinating event logistics, and assisting with various projects as assigned. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized individual with a passion for clean energy, climatetech, marketing, and communications and a willingness to learn. 

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator should be prepared to contribute to a steady flow of work for on-going projects while also helping to address short-term requests that require a quick turnaround. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will report to the VP of Marketing and Communications, while working closely with the marketing and communications team, the operations team, program teams, and occasionally members of the senior and executive staff including the CEO, and other state agencies. Read more

Program Administrator - Building Decarbonization

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Administrator will play a key role in supporting MassCEC’s high performance building and building decarbonization programming.  Specifically, this role will be part of MassCEC’s High-Performance Buildings team, which supports the Commonwealth’s ambitious goals of reducing and eliminating fossil fuel and emissions from the state’s buildings.   

This position blends the daily program administration responsibilities of awardee support, analysis of key program metrics, contract drafting, and invoice processing with frequent opportunities to collaborate on program improvement, new program development, stakeholder outreach efforts, and integration of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals into MassCEC’s work. Read more

Operations Administrator

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is seeking an Operations Administrator who will provide administrative support to the COO and assist the COO in implementing a range of projects that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of MassCEC’s operations. 

The Operations Administrator’s responsibilities will include working closely with the COO focusing internally to strengthen, streamline, and support MassCEC’s day-to-day operations. As part of this work, the position will work closely with other teams under the COO’s supervision, including Human Resources, IT, Metrics, and Office Operations. In addition, the Operations Administrator will assist with day-to-day calendar management for the COO as well as coordination and planning of key internal meetings.
