How do I know if my site has the potential for wind development?

To know if a site has potential for wind development, you must confirm that it has an adequate wind resource.  Commercial Wind initiative projects must have wind speeds of 6.0 m/s or greater at 70m.  Use the Department of Energy Resources (DOER) Wind Screening Tool to see what the wind speed is at your location. The tool is located at:  http://maps.massgis.state.ma.us/wind/.  You may also use the Commonwealth Wind Evaluation and Screening Tool at: http://cwest.cadmusweb.com/

Can I see a sample of a comprehensive Site Assessment or Feasibility Study?

Below are links to samples of site assessments and feasibility studies.
